Outsourcing………

Is it just me that takes offence when another big Australian company justifies outsourcing IT jobs overseas by claiming “skills shortage” and then qualifies it by saying “it’s just the operational work………we’re not outsourcing intelligence!”
Big call on the latter ever existing guys!

Yeah thats offensive all right. And what about the lobbying of govt by Australian companies to allow migrants to come in & take IT jobs, based on the same argument of ’skills shortage’. Skills shortage, my RS.

I should have clarified my previous comments, lest I be accused of playing the ‘race’ card. What I’m saying is, lets support our existing people here (be they black, white, brindle or whatever) and only bring in labour from elsewhere if we don’t already have these skills. Now, this might be branded by some as a politically incorrect attitude to have in these times of the new global economy, but frankly, I don’t care. I’m not afraid to be patriotic. Go the Wallabies !
