Check the website…..nuff said. Sometimes reality hits and people can’t deal with it. I will probably get flamed on that but the phoenix will rise and it will be better and bigger than the individuals…..see you at AusSaFu 2008!

As far as I know, there will be no Ruxcon…..some dudes just can’t get with the times. The romantic hacker days are over and it’s now big business (ie: criminal elements) and some just can’t handle the fact that they’ve been passed by. Even Black Hat has gone commercial and DefCon will follow. All the old hackers that started the community are now making big bucks in the commercial world. The old 2600 days don’t exist like they used too!

I doubt this is the reason as Chris Spencer was working professionally (prior to RUXCON) with ISS and then SureSec.
pulltheplug is now up again (I noted it was down at http://twitter.com/cmlh/statuses/107311332).
Black Hat is for a different target audience then DEFCON – DEFCON 15 was $100USD for admission and DT has always stated that don’t make the “big bucks” with DEFCON.

What the hell are you rattling on about? Probably best not to rant about something you have no idea about.
Ruxcon 2007 is not happening due to the additional work and life commitments. The main organisers just don’t have the time this year.

Hey Chris….has your email changed? I never heard back from you on 2 emails where we offered to throw as much help as needed to help you guys keep Rux alive. I believe on the chats we re-iterated the offer. I sent you an email a couple of weeks ago also after your post here to discuss and haven’t heard back.
My comments are far from the worst on this topic but apologies if I hurt anyones feelings.
