Will we in 10,20,30 or 100 years time look back at what some of the big vendors throw at us now and compare it directly to the old snake oil days. (Thanks SFB in the forum). (Take anything in the link as you would with anything on the net and check the sources yourself….my point being the sales techniques…)

That snake oil link fails to discuss real snake oil which actually does work (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_oil). This is because the snake used in the Chinese oils has a much higher amount of eicosapentaenoic acid which can help remedy some inflammation and joint pain. Western snakes are not as high in this acid as its Chinese counterparts and therefore wasn’t nearly as effective. So all these people in the west were marketing snake oil thinking that it would be just as effective, and hence where we get the term from.
