Great to see the boys getting out there on some interesting/relevant topics…I was questioned about PCI by one of the largest medical companies in the US the other day. They were saying everyone was offering them silver bullets, they’d buy, and then end up buying another silver bullet, repeat…

Good to see you around again
Its the same over here.. we are often engaged to come in after bring the bad news – the silver bullet hasn’t worked. Especially with PCI, and the problem is when someone is selling their product as the be-all and end-all – the ‘just buy this and you will be compliant’ – they are often given the whole budget, so when it does not work, the company is stuck.
This is a fatal trap for the ill-informed. Always discuss your compliance strategy with the best QSA you can find – not a vendor sales guy.
