Information Security Consultant – Information Security Group (Large Australian Financial)
The Security Consulting team is responsible for:
- Security Advisory & Consultancy to Business & Infrastructure Projects (including ITO, BPO, Infrastructure, Applications, Business Processes/ Transformation, Products (Cards, ATMs, Deposits, mortgage processing)
- Solution Design assistance
- Design Assurance
- Security Risk Analysis/ Advisory
- Security certification of projects as required
The consultant would be expected to provide pragmatic information security advice, enabling business outcomes and facilitate compliance with the Business’ Information Security Policy Framework and target risk position.
Essential experience:
- Five (5)+ years in information technology with strong experience in information security.
- Experience with Information SecurityCompliance or Information Security Audit controls.
- Strong business and risk analysis skills to drive security outcomes with both business and technical staff.
- Consult across a wide variety of information security disciplines including federation, regulatory compliance, application security, incident response, risk management, policies and standards, operating system security, third party due diligence, security testing, contractual advice for pragmatic security outcomes.
- Excellent written and communication skills including experience with an executive audience.
- Strong knowledge across a number of technologies.
- Ability in problem solving, critical thinking and time management.
- Working knowledge of security and risk-related international standards, including ISO 27000 series, NIST, OWASP, AS/4360, PCI DSS.
- Strong Consulting skills.
- Experience with a financial services firm or financial applications preferred.
- Experience with technical writing and risk assessment preferred.
- Broad background in system and applications support preferred.
